How Titan Converter — a product of Forgers, designed & developed by Mairaj — handles your files, usage data, and personal information across our website and desktop application.
The short version
Titan Converter uses a hybrid processing model. Some conversions run directly in your browser; others are sent to our processing backend when that delivers better speed, reliability, compatibility, or support for larger files.
We do not claim every file stays only on your device. Video files, larger documents, larger audio files, heavy batch jobs, AI tools, and any conversion that is faster or more practical server‑side may be uploaded for processing.
When a file is processed on our backend, we use it only to complete the conversion you requested. We do not sell your files, share their contents with advertisers, or use them for unrelated purposes. Temporary copies are deleted per this policy.
1. Who we are
Titan Converter is owned and operated by Forgers, and is designed and developed by Mairaj, the founder of Forgers. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Forgers (developed and operated by Mairaj) providing Titan Converter.
We provide a free online file conversion website at titanconverter.site and a
companion Windows desktop application. This policy explains what information we collect, why
we collect it, how it is used, how long it may be retained, and what choices you have.
You can learn more about the developer behind Titan Converter by visiting Mairaj’s portfolio at forgers.space.
Our only website, and look‑alike sites
Our only website is titanconverter.site. Any other website,
app or service that uses the name “Titan Converter” or a similar domain is not ours,
and we have no relationship with it. For example, titanconvarter.site
(spelled with an extra “a”: titanconvarter) and the site titled “Titan Converter
– Free Online File Converter” at that address are not operated by us. We are not
responsible for how such sites handle your files or data, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to them.
Please check the address in your browser before you upload a file or enter any details. If you are
unsure whether a site is ours, contact us at
titanconverter@gmail.com.

2. Files you convert
Titan Converter may process files in different ways depending on the tool, file size, file format, device capability, browser support, server availability, and the conversion method that gives the best practical result.
2.1 Browser‑based processing
Some conversions may run locally in your browser using WebAssembly, JavaScript, OCR libraries, or other in‑browser processing methods. When a conversion is performed this way, your file is read directly by your browser and is not transmitted to our servers.
Browser‑based processing may be used for smaller or simpler jobs, depending on the file and the tool — for example certain image conversions, some audio conversions, text extraction from supported images, and other lightweight tasks.
Important: Browser‑based processing is useful when it works well, but it is not guaranteed for every file, device, format, or conversion type.
2.2 Server‑based processing
Other conversions may require or benefit from server‑side processing. When this happens, your file may be uploaded to our processing backend, converted or analyzed there, and the result is returned to you for download.
Server‑based processing may be used when it provides better speed, stability, compatibility, or success rates — for example:
- video‑to‑video conversion and video compression;
- video‑to‑audio extraction where server processing is faster or more reliable;
- video‑to‑GIF conversion where backend processing is preferred;
- large video files or formats impractical to process fully in the browser;
- large documents, PDFs, scans, or batch image jobs that exceed browser‑side limits;
- larger audio files or audio operations that are faster or more stable on the backend;
- the AI Vocal/Music Remover tool, which separates audio into stems (vocals, drums, bass, other instruments) using a machine‑learning model;
- any other tool where our system determines backend processing gives the best overall result.
For server‑processed files, we use the uploaded file only to provide the requested conversion or feature. We do not sell your files, share their contents with advertisers, or use them for unrelated purposes. Temporary copies are kept only as long as needed to complete the job, deliver the result, handle retries, prevent abuse, debug failures, or comply with legal obligations, and are then deleted.
2.3 How we choose where a file is processed
Our system automatically selects the processing method that gives the best practical result. Factors may include:
- File size
- File format
- Browser capabilities
- Device performance
- Server load
- Expected speed
- Feature requirements
- Reliability
Our priority is not simply to keep every job local. Our priority is to complete your conversion as quickly and reliably as possible while handling your data responsibly.
3. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you use Titan Converter and whether a file is processed in your browser or on our backend.
3.1 Files & content
Browser‑only tools: we do not collect your file contents (the exceptions are image QR codes and the safety log of link and text QR codes, see 3.8). Server‑processed tools: we collect the uploaded file and its output, solely to perform the requested conversion.
3.2 File metadata
For server jobs we may handle file name, size, type, upload time, conversion status, and processing duration.
3.3 Technical logs
Uploads and backend requests may log IP address, approximate location, browser/user agent, device type, timestamp, errors, and request IDs.
3.4 Usage & analytics
Limited, non‑identifying usage data to operate the site and keep free daily limits fair.
3.5 Desktop license info
If you buy a desktop license, we retain your email and license details for support, activation, and verification.
3.6 Communications
If you contact us, we receive what you choose to send — email, message content, attachments, and any license details needed to help.
3.7 Usage data details
To operate the service and prevent abuse of free limits, we may collect:
- a randomly generated session identifier, stored in your browser’s local storage;
- which tool page you visited and when;
- the referring website, if any;
- general device type, such as mobile or desktop;
- a daily count of conversions, used only to enforce the free‑tier daily limit.
This data is not tied to your name, email, or other directly identifying information, and we do not sell it to third parties.
3.8 QR codes: safety review, image uploads and scan tracking
QR codes are drawn in your browser. Wi‑Fi, contact‑card (vCard), phone and calendar codes are never sent to us. Because QR codes can be misused for phishing, scams and malware, our team may review QR codes made with our tools for security and abuse‑prevention reasons, including the content of link, text, SMS and email codes, uploaded images and tracked links. This is how it works:
- Safety review of link, text, SMS and email codes: when you download a QR code that contains a link (including social profile, WhatsApp, map and payment links), plain text, an SMS or an email, we store a copy of its content (up to 1,000 characters), the type of code, the website address it points to, the generator page you used, the approximate country, the time, and a one‑way hashed identifier derived from your IP address. The IP address itself is not stored. We use this only to find and stop abuse, to investigate reports, and to block harmful websites. We do not sell it or use it for advertising. These records are deleted automatically after 90 days. Because a downloaded static code lives on in print or on screens, we cannot switch it off, but we can block the website it points to from tracked codes and act on abuse. Please do not put passwords or private notes in a QR code.
- Image QR codes: if you make a QR code from an image, the image (after it is resized on your device) is uploaded to and stored on our servers so the code can link to it. Anyone who has the code or its link can view the image. For safety and security reasons, we can also view any uploaded image, for example to review abuse reports, stop illegal or harmful content and enforce our rules. We do not sell uploaded images or use them for anything else. Images are deleted after 50 days, and the QR code stops working then.
- Tracked QR codes: if you switch on “Track scans”, the code points to a short link on
titanconverter.site. We store the destination and, for each scan, the time, the approximate location (country, region and city, as estimated by our hosting provider), the device, operating system and browser type, and the host name of the referring site if there is one. We do not store IP addresses in the QR tables. Link previews and automated bots are recognised and kept apart from the human scan count. The creator of a code sees these statistics through a private link with a secret token; we store only a one‑way hash of that token and cannot recover it for you. - Abuse prevention: to enforce daily limits and to stop repeated abuse reports, we store a one‑way hashed identifier derived from your IP address using a secret key. The IP address itself is not stored and the hash cannot be turned back into an address. If you report a QR code, we store the code’s ID, your hashed identifier and the reason you wrote (up to 300 characters).
- Safety checks: before we create a tracked code, and again when it is scanned, the destination web address is checked against Google Safe Browsing and our own blocklist. Only the web address is sent for this check.
Our hosting and infrastructure providers (such as Cloudflare) may still process IP addresses as part of normal network operation, as described in section 3.3.
5. Third‑party services
Pages on this site may load resources from third‑party CDNs and service providers — for example jsDelivr for conversion engines and Google Fonts for typography. These providers may log standard technical request data (such as IP address, user agent, timestamp, and requested resource) as part of serving those files, under their own privacy policies.
We may also use third‑party infrastructure providers to host, store, transmit, or temporarily process files for server‑side conversions. These providers may use your data only to provide the services we request, not for their own marketing or unrelated purposes.
The QR code tools use Cloudflare Turnstile (a privacy‑focused human check) when you upload an image, create a tracked code or send an abuse report, and Google Safe Browsing to check the destination of tracked codes. Image files for QR codes are stored with our storage provider (Cloudflare R2) and QR statistics are stored with our database provider.
If payment processing is used for desktop licenses, payment information is handled by a third‑party payment provider under its own privacy and security policies.
Because the internet is global, server‑processed files and related logs may be transferred to and processed in countries other than where you live. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate contractual or other safeguards.
6. Disclosure of information
We do not sell your personal information or the contents of files you convert. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:
- with service providers who help us operate the site, process conversions, store data, send communications, or provide support;
- if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
- to protect our rights, property, safety, or users — including fraud and abuse prevention, security investigations, or enforcement of our Terms of Service;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, provided the recipient honors this policy or offers comparable protection.
7. Desktop application
The Titan Converter desktop app for Windows is designed to perform conversions locally on your computer. During normal offline use, it does not upload your media files to our servers.
Licensing is handled by email. If you purchase a license, we retain your email address and license details for support and license verification.
If future versions add online features, cloud features, automatic updates, telemetry, or server‑assisted processing, those will be described in an updated privacy policy or in‑product notice.
8. Data retention
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
- Browser‑only conversions: we do not retain your file contents, because they are not uploaded to our servers.
- Server‑processed files: uploaded files and outputs are kept only as long as needed to complete the conversion, let you download the result, handle retries or failures, prevent abuse, and meet legal or security requirements — then deleted.
- Technical logs: security, debugging, and abuse‑prevention logs may be kept for a limited period necessary to operate and protect the service.
- License information: desktop license records and associated emails are kept as long as needed for support, activation, verification, and legal compliance.
- QR images, safety‑review records and tracked QR codes: the copies of link, text, SMS and email codes kept for safety review are deleted after 90 days. Uploaded QR images are deleted after 50 days. Tracked codes and their scan records are kept while the code exists, so the creator can see the statistics; a code that is switched off keeps its records until we remove them. Hashed abuse‑prevention identifiers are kept only as long as needed to enforce limits and handle reports.
- Local storage data: session identifiers, theme preferences, and daily usage counters remain in your browser until you clear them or your browser removes them.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure.
If you are converting highly sensitive, confidential, regulated, medically related, financially sensitive, or legally privileged files, you should consider whether using any online conversion service is appropriate for your needs.
10. Children’s privacy
Titan Converter is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at titanconverter@gmail.com, and we will take steps to remove it where appropriate.
11. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.
- Clear local data: clear your browser’s site data for
titanconverter.siteto remove local storage items such as your session identifier, theme preference, and daily conversion count. - Request deletion: server‑processed files are normally deleted automatically after processing. If you believe personal information related to a server job remains and you want it deleted, contact us.
- Access or correct information: if you provided personal information (such as an email for licensing or support), you may ask us to access, correct, or delete it where required by law.
- Opt out of sales: we do not sell personal information or file contents.
To make a privacy request, email us at titanconverter@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes to how we process files or personal data, we may also provide additional notice on the website or by other reasonable means.
