How a PayPal QR code works

PayPal.Me is PayPal's link for receiving payments. It looks like paypal.me/yourname. When someone scans a QR code containing that link, their phone opens your PayPal.Me page, where they enter an amount, or see the one you set, and pay with their PayPal account or card.

This tool only builds the code from the link. It does not connect to PayPal, process payments or see any account details. Set up your PayPal.Me link in your PayPal account first. Before printing, scan the code and check that the page shows your name, because a payment code is only as trustworthy as the person placing it. Never place a code over someone else's, and keep it in a place you control.
