3

Download and test

Save a PNG or SVG, then scan it. WhatsApp should open a chat with your number.

How a WhatsApp QR code works

This tool builds a standard WhatsApp click-to-chat link, in the form wa.me/your-number, and turns it into a QR code. When someone scans it, their phone opens WhatsApp with a chat to your number. If you add a message, it appears in the text box ready to send.

It works with personal and WhatsApp Business numbers, and the person scanning does not need to save your number first. The number must be written in international format without zeros or plus signs in the link itself, and this tool does that clean-up for you. The link is written into the code, so the code never expires.

Where WhatsApp QR codes work well

Shops and market stalls

Let customers ask about stock or place an order from a sign on the counter.

Service businesses

Put a code on a van, a flyer or a business card for quick quote requests.

Restaurants and delivery

Take reservations or orders by chat from a table card or a window sticker.

Real estate and rentals

Add a code to a property sign that starts a chat with the agent.

Events and communities

Give attendees a quick way to message the organiser from a poster or badge.
