How an X (Twitter) QR code works

The code contains your profile address, x.com/yourhandle. Scanning it opens X, or the browser, on your profile with a Follow button. Old twitter.com links still redirect to x.com, so codes made from either address work.

You can paste a link to a single post too, which is useful for a pinned announcement, a contest or a live event thread. The code is static: it needs no login and never expires, but it follows your handle, so make a new code if you change it.
